Check-In
:
Due to international processing
and security requirements, we suggest that you arrive at
the airport at least 2 hours prior to your departure time
to allow sufficient time to complete all necessary processing
and documentation. Your reservation will be retained only
up to 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure. After
completing your check-in at the counter, you must present
yourself at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before
the scheduled departure of your flight.

Meals &
Refreshments:
A snack, lunch or dinner will
be served, depending on your departure time and the lenght
of your flight.We have designed our meal service to provide
a mix of Jamaican and international cuisine and our menus
are changed periodically to offer variety. All beverages
are complimentary in First Class. In Economy Class, complimentary
beer, wine and champagne are served with your meal. There
will be a moderate charge for liquor. Of course, coffee,
tea, soft drinks and juices are also "on us."

Entertainment:
Airbus aircraft are equipped
with movie and music channels and there is no charge for
the headset. Our London and Eastern Caribbean flights feature
the AIr Jamaica In-flight Fashion Show. Duty free shopping
is available with a premimn selection of perfumes, liquor
and other gift items.

Smoking:
Air Jamaica is pleased to provide
a smoke-free environment on all our flights. Smoke detectors
are located in the bathrooms, and we urge you to comply
with the ban on smoking.

For
Your Safety:
You
must fasten your seat-belt at all times during take-off
and landing or whenever the Captain illuminates the "Fasten
Seat-belt" sign during flight. We also recommend that
you keep your seat-belt fastened when seated, even though
the sign may not be on.

Baggage
Info:
Camera equipment, cash, jewelry,
legal and business documents, computers, fragile items and
other valuable articles as well as medication and prescriptions
should be carried personally by you. Perishable articles
must also be checked as a separate item of baggage.
In all instances, except for
certain international destinations, or when using a connecting
carrier, only two pieces of luggage up to a weight of 70lbs.
each will be accepted free of charge. In addition, you will
also be entitled to up to two pieces of carry-on baggage.
All carry-on bags must be capable of fitting under the seat
in front of you or in an overhead compartment. Since space
is limited, the total maximum size/weight for carry-on is
approximately 9x16x20 inches/40lbs.
Excess charges will apply to
all baggage checked or carried which exceeds the number
of bags allowed under the free allowance. Excess pieces
are subject to space available transportation and may or
may not accompany you on your flight. Excess charges will
also be required to be paid on your free allowance checked
baggage if the weight exceeds 70lbs. Up to a maximum weight
of 100lbs., or if the size exceeds a total outside dimension
(L+W+H) of 62 inches (157.5 cm).
