RUNAWAY BAY is the type of place that people envision when they daydream of running off to paradise. The beach is wide and inviting, especially for water sports, and is great for laying on the soft sand and soaking up the sun.

The bay where Columbus first landed is still as beautiful as it was then. A resort town with its focus on the beach. Runaway Bay is about halfway between Montego bay and Ocho Rios. From this shore slaves escaped their bondage in canoes.
