Couples is the quintessential all-inclusive resort for romantics. A Couples vacation includes unlimited meals daily with wine at lunch and dinner, all drinks at any of our four bars and all sports activities and organized tours.

Couples is situated on 18 acres facing the crescent shaped Bloody Bay on 1,000 feet of white sand beach, Couples is five miles from Negril - a small fishing village - and fifty miles from Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay (a one hour and thirty minute drive).

Accommodations: There are 234 rooms, categorized as Deluxe Garden, Deluxe Ocean, Deluxe Beach Front and Beachfront Suite. Each room has a view of the bay or lush garden views and features satellite color TV, CD player and radio, and is fully air-conditioned.

Electrical System: 110 volts/50 cycles. Adapters are not available.

Beach: White sand beach, generally calm and crystal clear seas. Length: 1,000 feet, width 100 feet.

Clothing Optional Sunbathing: On the East side of the property 'au naturel' sunbathing is permitted.

Jacuzzis: Two adjacent to the pool.

Pools: Main pool flows into a smaller pool with a swim-up bar. Length: 160 feet, width: 24 feet, depth: 4 feet.

Dive Pool length: 30 feet, width: 15 feet, depth: 8 feet.

Natural Ponds: A collection of small ponds that flow into one another on the East side of the property, the water circulating in these ponds is drawn from a well on property. On the West side of the property there is a plunge pool which is the actual exposed water table, water is pumped out of this pond and sent to a lily pond on the water's edge where the wedding gazebo is located.

Television: Satellite television - 10 channels.

Room Amenities: All rooms are air conditioned with private bath and a balcony or patio, king size beds, satellite television, cd player and radio (guests should bring their own cd's), telephone and hair dryer.

There are nine room blocks three levels high, no building is higher than the tallest coconut tree, with between 21 and 30 rooms on each block. All rooms except suites are the same in furnishings and fixtures.

Deluxe Garden View: located throughout the property, each has a private balcony. Total: 101

Deluxe Ocean View: located on the third floor of each block and on lower floors close to the ocean, some ocean views may be partial. Total: 67

Deluxe Beach Front: Located on the blocks closest to the ocean, blocks 1, 5, 6, 9, these offer partial ocean and beach views. Total: 48

Beachfront Suites: Located at the ends of each block, suites are one large room and have Jacuzzi, mini bar, coffee and tea facilities and a lounge area. Suite patios have a hammock. Total: 18

Bar Service: Our Pool swim-up bar is open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., the Beach Bar from 11:00 a.m. - midnight. The Terrace Bar is open from 12:30 p.m. to midnight. Our Piano Bar opens for cocktails at 6:00 p.m. and does not close until the last couple retires.

Dining Areas:

Breakfast: The Terrace Restaurant offers a continental breakfast stations for early risers beginning at 5:00 a.m. At 7:30 a.m. a full breakfast buffet follows, offering an array of fruit juices, croissants, and pastries as well as hot and cold dishes. Or, if you wish, enjoy a continental breakfast in bed or on your room balcony. The Beach Grill, open from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. offers Tapas, snacks and grill menu.

Lunch:

The Terrace Restaurant offers a tempting buffet of salads, local and European hot and cold dishes, pastries and cakes.

Dinner

Choose from our three restaurants The Terrace Restaurant - Continental a la carte. The Beach Grill - Mediterranean dishes as well as pasta. The Otaheite Restaurant - Caribbean fusion a la carte. Taste the spices and flavor of Jamaica and the Caribbean. Also at the Beach Grill from 10:00 p.m. nightly, try specialty coffees as well as finger desserts. From midnight until the early hours, Tapas, snacks and a grill menu are offered.

Activities & Entertainment:

Sports: Four tennis courts (two lit for night play), pros available and lessons offered. Table tennis, volleyball, dance classes, beach and pool Olympics, golf (greens fees and transfers included) and more. Resident band nightly with a variety of live entertainment.

Monday night Manager's cocktail party weekly followed by the Caribbean Dinner Buffet.

Wednesdays Tex Mex Lunch Beach Buffet.

Water Sports: Windsurfing, Hobie Cat sailing, Sunfish sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, waterskiing, canoeing (all with instruction), glass bottom boat rides and sunset catamaran cruises.

Indoor games: We offer backgammon, cards, TV, dominos, a variety of board games as well as billiards in the Game Room.

Fitness Center: The fitness center's cardio room is fully equipped with free- weights, treadmills, Cybex, LifeCycle and Stairmaster equipment. Aerobics classes are also available.

Medical Facilities: Our staff includes a qualified nurse who can attend to minor illness, cuts, etc. A limited supply of medical items is also available. There is not charge for this service. Should guests require the service of a doctor, this must be paid at the time of the visit.

Wedding Service: A marriage license, non-denominational minister, wedding flowers, t-shirts, two-tier cake, sparkling wine, live complimentary music and complimentary massages are provided. Clients need copies of divorce decrees or death certificates if they have been married before, and birth certificates, passports or a drivers license. Documents should be notarized or clients may provide certified copies with a stamp/seal and a signature on them.

A wedding gazebo is available near the natural plunge pool.
