Ever since it opened as the original Riu on
the Riviera Maya, the Riu Yucatan has been
causing a great sensation! Themed in an early
Mexican Colonial style, the resort features
a lobby modeled after an authentic Mexican
town with hand-painted frescos of flowers,
angels and clouds. The Hacienda Restaurant
extends to a terrace amidst jungle greenery,
offering a great variety of tantalizing buffets
and on-the-spot cooking. Guests are sure to
enjoy the informal atmosphere of Margarita's
specialty restaurant, as they dine alongside
the large pool area and take part in the delightful
theme nights. Relax beneath one of the many
palm trees sprinkled along the white sand
beach, or enjoy the array of watersports for
fun in the clear waters of the Caribbean.

or sip a sunset cocktail in one of four bars.

Golf Playacar Golf Club
This championship-level golf course was carved
right out of the jungle by the Robert Von
Hagge Associates. This 7,202 yard course is
rated 73.1 and has plenty of tee boxes for
every level of play. It is situated next to
Playa del Carmen.
